It takes a little over two hours to get to Lanta, which include two ferry rides. Water sports are the main activity of the island, and scuba diving and snorkeling produce rich, colorful rewards with tropical fish and colorful coral. The town center of Saladan is walking distance and is filled with shops, and dining and entertainment venues. The best way to explore this island with a 500 year old gypsy population is on a bicycle or on foot. After the swimming and sightseeing, the restaurant is a good place to relax offering good Thai and western food, and a walk along the gardens completes a perfect day."
